Healing Retreat

Beth Shalom is an outreach of our church, ministering to people from all over America and around the world who come to rest, heal and seek the face of God. It is operated in such a way as to be a complement to our guests overall health and well-being. We offer a wide variety of delicious plant-based whole foods that are in keeping with the dietary recommendations of Dr. Cohn and his team at the Holistic Medical Clinic in Wilkesboro, NC. Our mission is to create and maintain an atmosphere of God's presence and peace. Beth Shalom is a beautiful log home seated on over 100 acres of rural countryside in Wilkes County, NC.
What to expect
To reserve a room while you are receiving treatment from the Holistic Medical Clinic please contact Tabitha at 336.973.2757 or by email at bethshalom.sfm@gmail.com. Please notify us of any foods you should avoid or allergies when you make your reservation.
Cost
Beth Shalom is an outreach ministry of our church. There is no dollar amount affixed to the cost of your stay. We are a faith-based ministry that leans on the Lord to provide for our needs as well as yours while you stay. In doing so, we also believe that He'll place generosity in the hearts of those that come. We ask that you be as generous with us as we've been with you. We realize that everyone's financial situation is different and any donation to help us to continue helping others is greatly appreciated.
What to expect
- We strive to maintain an atmosphere of tranquility so that those God leads here can seek Him in ways that they may not always be able to amongst the distractions of everyday life. Therefore, at Bethesda there are no phones, open WiFi, or television (with the exception of a few DVDs). If you bring videos please make sure that they are very family friendly. Beth Shalom is a house the Lord built and we want to maintain His presence here.
- For our guests who will require a lot of assistance we ask that when possible a relative or friend accompany them for the duration of their stay. However, if this is not possible then our staff will gladly care for them. We are a church, not a medical facility; therefore, we do not have any medical professionals on staff. Guests requiring full-time nursing care should choose an appropriate facility.
- While our guests are welcome to bring their children, we are not a licensed day-care facility. We do love children and enjoy their company, but we can assume no liability for them. We ask that guests only bring children that are an appropriate age and temperament as to not disturb the rest of our other guests.
- Guests are provided with breakfast and dinner meals, starting Monday evening thru Friday morning.
- Breakfast is typically a green smoothie, chia porridge, oatmeal, fruit salad, etc.
- Guests are responsible for providing their own lunches
- Refrigerator space and all kitchen equipment and appliances are available for guest use
- If you will not be eating a meal we kindly ask that you notify our staff 3 hours ahead of meal time.
- If you need to cancel a reservation, please notify us via phone or email as soon as possible. We use fresh ingredients to prepare meals and it is a waste of time and funds to prepare meals for guests that do not show up.
